2005-2006 Maine Resident Students:  Per Pupil Operating Costs:

                                   
General Information:

The Operating Costs include all general fund costs reported in each School Administrative Unit's annual Financial Report of Public Schools (EF-M-45) except major capital outlay, debt service, and transportation expenditures. Since this report is based on only on resident pupils, any tuition receipts have been deducted from the cost data. 

The count of Average Resident Pupils is an average of those resident students reported on the October 1st and April 1st Resident Enrollment Reports (EF-M-11 & EF-M-12) for which a School Administrative Unit is financially responsible.

Type:       

K-8 -- School Administrative Units that operate schools for any combination of grades kindergarten through eight and tuition students in grades for which they do not operate a school.

TUIT. -- Administrative Units that tuition all their students to another school.

K-12 -- School Administrative Units that operate schools for grades kindergarten through twelve.

9-12 ONLY -- School Administrative Units that operate schools for grades nine through twelve
