RE: Students attending “Non-Approved Private Schools Acceptable for Attendance Purposes Only” in 2001-2002
In order for a student to be credited with attendance at a private school, Maine State law, 20-A M.R.S.A. §5001-A(3)(A)(2), requires that the private school must provide a certificate with the name of the student’s residence to the school officials of the school administrative unit where the student resides.
Please complete the following form based on the resident students in your school administrative unit that attended a “Non-Approved Private Schools Acceptable for Attendance Purposes Only” in 2001-02 and submit it to the MIS Team by September 13, 2002. The information provided on this report will be utilized to develop a more complete record of all children in Maine and the schools at which they are being educated.
