What is Resident Enrollment?
Resident enrollment counts are based on where the students live. These counts differ from the Resident Subsidy Counts in that they are unrelated with subsidy. These numbers are derived from the Maine Education Data Management System (MEDMS) twice a year, on October 1 and April 1, and are based on where the student lives regardless of whether the student is a subsized student or not. They include all students residing in the State of Maine.
In addition, they include Private school students reported either through the MEDMS system or through the EF-M 13 report in October or the EF-M-14 report in April.
Private schools not receiving public funding are not required to report and therefore this must be considered when looking at private school totals.
If you are looking for Attending student counts, based on where students are enrolled, please see Attending Counts.
If you are looking for Resident Subsidy Counts, based on where students live, please see Resident Subsidy Counts.
