We are looking for someone with an Ed Tech III certification (90 or more college credits) preferred, but will consider Level II (which requires 60 college credits).  This position is for about 25.5 hours per week working with children three to five years of age in preschool settings.  The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of children assigned to him/her.  Additionally this person will review and implement learning previously introduced by the Classroom Teacher or Teacher of Disabilities B-5. Speech/Language Therapist   (2 positions available) NEW
Two (2) full- or part-time positions are available to evaluate and treat children birth-5 years old, in homes and programs in the Ellsworth area.  Applicant will also work with other professionals on assessment and treatment teams, and must be comfortable working with children and families.  Applicant must also have good communication skills, oral and written.  Experience with birth-5 age group preferable and Maine licensure required.

Teacher of Children with Disabilities  (several positions available) NEW
Person in this position will assess and treat children B-5 years old in homes, programs, and clinic.  Must have or be able to qualify for DOE Teacher endorsement 282 (B-5).  Works with other professionals on assessment and treatment teams.  Experience with children B-5 and families required.  Must have good communication skills, orally and in writing. 

Positions available:

  • 40 hours per week (Academic year)
  • 35 hours per week (Calendar year)

Case Manager (3-5, Level I) NEW

CDS York seeks a full-time Case Manager for children with disabilities ages 3-5.  Assists families through the Childfind process, facilitates team meetings, and writes service plans.  The position requires travel throughout the county and coordination with providers, school districts, and community agencies.  Applicants should be efficient, high-energy, and comfortable with technology.  

Requirements include a bachelors degree in special education, child development, early education or an equivalent area of study.

 

Office Operations Assistant  NEW

The Office Operations Assistant will provide assistance to the Office Operations Manager and other site employees with daily functions.  This includes being the first level of contact with clients and visitors, maintaining data for required site recordkeeping and assisting with correspondence and mail.

Minimum qualifications include an Associates Degree in related field and two years comparable experience or, High School diploma and five years comparable experience.

Full time position to work with children birth to five years old. Previous experience providing treatment for early childhood population. Must have appropriate State of Maine licensure. This position calls for ability to collaborate with other team members in treatment and planning and have good rapport with children. Excellent documentation and communication skills required.

This (full or part-time) position is intended to function as an in-house occupational therapist for York County CDS and will be responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment. Excellent communication, teamwork and computer skills required. Knowledge of, and experience with, preschool children with special needs. Some travel within the catchment area may be required.

 

Licensed Clinical Social Worker NEW

CDS York is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team to evaluate and develop programs for children from birth to five with special educational needs.  The LCSW ensures that services meet the requirements fo the Individuals with Disabilities Educational Improvement Act (IDEA) of 2004. 

Must hold a current State of Maine Social Worker License.

 

Case Manager B-2 NEW
Full-time Case Manager for children with disabilities ages B-2.  Assists families through the Childfind process, facilitates team meetings, and writes service plans.  Will travel throughout the county and coordinate with providers and community agencies.  Applicants should be efficient, high-energy, and comfortable with technology.   Requirements include at least a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or EC Special Education, and experience working in early childhood education and with children with disabilities and their families.

 

Case Manager (3-5, Level II) NEW

Requirements include experience in early childhood education,  certification of Teacher of Young Children with Disabilities (282 B-5).

 

Educational Technician III (Several open positions available) NEW

The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of children assigned to him/her. Additionally this person will review and implement learning previously introduced by the Classroom Teacher or Teacher of Disabilities B-5. Obtain and maintain authorization as an Ed Tech III in accordance with chapter 115 of the Maine Department of Education. 

The 2 positions are:

  • Temporary, part-time position working one-on-one with a child at the Baxter School for the Deaf.
  • Temporary, full-time position working as a substitute in a program for children with autism.

 

Educational Technician I, II or III NEW

This is a full-time position in the Explorer class at Children's Journey (York CDS).  The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of children assigned to him/her. Additionally this person will review and implement learning previously introduced by the Classroom Teacher or Teacher of Disabilities B-5. Obtain and maintain authorization as an Ed Tech I, II or III in accordance with chapter 115 of the Maine Department of Education. 

 

Substitute Educational Technician III of Teacher of Children with Disabilities NEW

The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of children assigned to him/her.  Additionally this person will review and implement learning previously introduced by the Classroom Teacher or Teacher of Disabilities B-5.  Preferred person in this position has 282 certification or Ed Tech III certification from the Maine Department of Education.
