Mission:  

“We are a committed group of youth dedicated to influencing positive changes to promote success for youth who experience a disruption in their educational program.”

Who we are:  

KMCC Get Connected Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a team of Maine youth ages 13-19 who advise KMCC on school and community issues affecting youth. KMCC Get Connected YAC serves as a link between the youth of the community, the KMCC State Advisory Committee, schools and other agencies working on behalf of youth.

KMCC Get Connected YAC shall enable youth to work towards goals to empower other youth, improve systems and build leadership and advocacy skills.

                                                                                                                                   

What we are working on:

Guidelines/ Checklist to be used by school administrators and others with a focus on different ways to best support new or returning students to school systems.
