Registration of Political Action Committees

Any organization that meets the legal definition of a political action committee (PAC) must register with the Ethics Commission.

The PAC must submit a registration form and initial campaign finance report to the Ethics Commission within seven days of reaching the applicable threshold.

In addition, organizations that meet the qualifications for being a PAC due to activities to influence municipal elections in towns and cities with a population of 15,000 or more may be required to register as political action committees and file reports with the town or city clerk.
