Fish Stocking Reports
Fish Stocking Report Now Available With Daily Updates
The fish stocking report now features daily updates from hatchery staff. Instead of hearing when and where the hatcheries have stocked well after the season has ended, anglers now will be able to easily locate waters freshly stocked with catchable trout.
Waters are grouped by county, listed by town, and include the date of stocking as well as the species, quantity, and size of fish released.
- Todd Langevin, Superintendent of Hatcheries, Augusta

University of Maine - Orono research proposal that underwent peer review. The lower reaches of each of these four streams contain wild brook trout populations and UMO researchers will capture and transfer brook trout resident to each of the above streams and move them upstream over impassible barriers into barren reaches of the same stream, thus preserving the genetic integrity of each stream population. This work is proposed for the late summer/early fall of 2010. The intent of their project is to determine whether the addition of woody debris improves brook trout habitat, and to relocate wild brook trout to vacant habitat to evaluate 1) their impact of their introduction on the native macroinvertebrate biota of the streams and 2) their relative performance in habitats with and without coarse woody debris. |
| Perch (Mud) Pond |
Old Town |
Penobscot |
BKT |
