Retired Maine Game Warden 1974 – 1995
Chair, Board of Directors, Operation Game Thief
|
|
I am pleased to be involved again with Operation Game Thief as the Chair of its Board of Directors. As a retired Maine Game Warden with over 20+ years of experience, I am as committed now to the apprehension of poachers as I was as a game warden.
I think you will find the Operation Game Thief (OGT) website interesting and compelling. You will read about how far the program has come since its inception in 1989. Without the eyes and ears of concerned sportsmen and women, the cases you read about in Case Files would not have likely happened. Reading about these cases should make any honest person find these poachers to be irresponsible and shortsighted. You will find that we’ve made it easy to report violations, either on-line or on the 800 line. You should also know you may make donations to OGT online as the program is supported solely through donations and the fundraising efforts of the Board of Directors. We hope you will help make a difference.

Maine Operation Game Thief -
(Maine OGT)
is a private, non-profit organization that works with
the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Warden
Service to pay rewards to citizens who turn in poachers.
Rewards of up to $1,000, based on severity, are paid for information that leads to the arrest or summons being issued for a fish or wildlife violation.
Rewards of up to $2,000 are paid for information that leads to the arrest or summons being issued to individuals unlawfully introducing non-native fish species into Maine’s waters.
In all cases, the caller remains anonymous, does not have to reveal their names or testify in court.
