Description: Job development services are provided to BRS clients as part of their vocational rehabilitation, which help them identify, seek and obtain jobs consistent with individual interests, strengths, abilities and needs.

Problem Statement: The ways in which BRS assists clients with job development is too expensive, too lengthy and results in questionable outcomes.

Boundaries:

First Step: Client is ready for job development
Last Step: Client is offered and accepts a job

Measures:

Expected Deliverables:
1. Lower Cost
2. Shorter Placement Time
3. Increased number of people who receive job development services become employed

Specific Measurements:
1. Case service expenditures for job development
2. Time from when job development begins and a job is obtained
3. Number of 26’s, rates of pay and monthly hours worked

Timeframe: Implementation: 10/1/05.

Customer/Clients: People with significant physical, mental and emotional impairments.

Supplier: People with disabilities, their families and community social service providers.
