Rep. Webster
David is a Freeport resident with his wife of almost 30 years,
Nancy Salmon , and is in his fourth term as a State Representative.
He is a graduate of Antioch University New England with a Masters
in Education - Organization and Management and is an alumnus of
Maine's Institute for Civic Leadership (Lambda Class). David is
also a graduate of SUNY/Empire State College. David is a consultant
on Tourism and Accessibility, economic development through cultural
tourism and in the areas of non-profit organizational development.
For over 20 years David was the executive director of VSA Arts
of Maine, a statewide, non-profit corporation affiliated with the
John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Additionally he has
a background in counseling and crisis intervention, serves as an
Adjunct Faculty member at Husson University, and has been a small
business owner.
David continues his involvement in his community; working with
Freeport Community Players both in technical theater and on stage.
(David with his wife Nancy owned and operated a for-profit theater
company and David worked as a professional actor). He works closely
with Freeport Community Services and other organizations in his
area to facilitate services for the people of the community and
to expand educational and economic opportunities. In the recent
past he has served on the Adult Advisory Council for the Freeport
Teen Center. He is a founding member and the past President of
Community Support Services, Inc., (now named Community Partners,
Inc.) a Southern Maine non-profit serving over 400 adults with
developmental disabilities.
