Rep. McCabe
Representative Jeff McCabe is serving in his second term in the Maine House
of Representatives. McCabe has been appointed to serve as the
House Democratic Lead member on the Joint Standing Committee on
Agriculture, Conservation
and Forestry.
Rep. McCabe’s professional career has focused on conservation
and environmental concerns. In addition to being a Maine Guide,
he currently serves as Director of Lake George Regional Park, a
320-acre park, which is located in the towns of Skowhegan and Canaan.
McCabe is also the former Executive Director of the Somerset County
Soil and Water Conservation District.
McCabe’s community involvement includes serving as a member
of the Skowhegan Planning Board and Budget Committee, Skowhegan
Conservation Commission, Western Mountains Alliance, Kennebec Valley
Tourism Council and Somerset Woods Trustees.
McCabe is a graduate of Unity College, where he received a Bachelor's
of Science in Environmental Education. He resides in Skowhegan
with his wife Sara and their two young children.
