About
Rep. Maloney
Rep. Maeghan Maloney is serving her first term in the State House of Representatives
and has been appointed to the Judiciary Committee. She represents part of
Augusta.
Rep. Maloney grew up in Maine and her grandfather farmed potatoes
in Aroostook County. As a child her family received assistance
from food stamps and Tall Pines low-income housing in Lewiston.
Maeghan graduated from Leavitt High School in Turner and attended
Swarthmore College on a full scholarship. She later attended Harvard
Law School on a Truman Fellowship.
She has worked for Senator George Mitchell, as a criminal prosecutor,
and as an assistant attorney general. She now owns her own business
as an attorney in private practice. Maeghan lives in Augusta with
her husband of 17 years, two children, and one dog.
