Rep. Wagner
Representative Richard V. Wagner is serving his third term in the Legislature
and continues to serve on the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee
on which he is the House Democratic lead.
Representative Wagner, a Lewiston resident for 40 years, recently
retired after teaching at Bates College for 34 years. He is a graduate
of Haverford College and earned his Ph.D. in Social Psychology
from the University of Michigan. He has been president of the Pettengill
School PTA and of the Board of John F. Murphy Homes. He is currently
on the Lewiston Energy Saving Committee and the Community Advisory
Board of Lewiston-Auburn College. Representative Wagner has been
a mediator for the Court Mediation system since 1980.
