Rep. Lovejoy
Rep. Steve Lovejoy is serving his first term in the Maine House of Representatives.
He serves on the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee.
Born in Hollis, Maine, Rep. Lovejoy is a lifelong resident of
the Greater Portland area. He has had a career in banking and finance
as well as economic development. He is currently an Assistant Professor
of Business at the University of Maine in Augusta, where he teaches
courses in strategic management, finance, marketing, and financial
accounting. He has degrees from USM, New Hampshire College, and
Southern New Hampshire University. He recently served on the Downtown
Portland Corporation board of directors and has served in other
board positions with community groups in the past.
His major areas of focus are education and economic development,
as well as lending and consumer credit protection.
Rep. Lovejoy and his wife Nancy Hearne are the parents of six
grown children and have two granddaughters.
