Rep. Kumiega
Representative Walter Kumiega is serving his first term in the Legislature
and serves
on the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources.
The fishing industry is a major part of the economy in the district
Rep. Kumiega represents.
Rep. Kumiega has served on the Deer Isle-Stonington School Committee
for 9 years and for 15 years on the board of Child and Family Opportunities,
the Head Start grantee for Hancock and Washington Counties.
A self employed carpenter, Walter lives on Little Deer Isle with
his wife Penny and their two high school age children.
