Introduction

Maine enacted its minimum wage in 1959 (PL 1959, c. 362). The rate was $1.00 per hour.  Originally codified as RS 1954, c. 30, §132-C, this statute is now located at 26 MRS §664. This legislative history includes legislation amending these statutes.
