Priority 3 towns which have built a facility and are waiting for State reimbursement
When the Legislature appropriates future funding for this program, the following towns will be reimbursed in the noted order:
- Enfield (reimbursed July 2011)
- Brooklin (reimbursed July 2011)
- Brewer (reimbursed July 2011)
- Embden (reimbursed July 2011)
- Isleboro (reimbursed July 2011)
- Peru (reimbursed July 2011)
- New Sharon (reimbursed July 2011)
- Madawaska (reimbursed July 2011)
- Sebago
- Stetson
- Lyman
- Hartford
- Rangeley Plt.
- Bradford
- Mariaville
- Greenfield Twp (Penobscot County)
This order was determined by the date when the MaineDOT received the final documentation from each town.
As future Priority 3 towns build their facilities, they will be added to the end of this list. In the Fall of 2006, the towns of Prentiss Plt. (Penob. Cty.), Long Island, Etna, Litchfield and Palmyra were reimbursed their partial state share due to recent legislative appropriations. These facilities were built between 1999 and 2003. In July, 2009, Trenton and Bath were reimbursed for their facilities built in 2003 and 2001.
