Section of Route 2 in Bangor to Close in order to replace bridge

Starting on Monday, August 17, a section of Route 2 in Bangor between the Meadowbrook Road and Young Street will be closed so crews can replace Red Bridge over Penjejawock Stream.

Motorists will be directed to a marked detour route that uses the Hogan Road and Mt. Hope Avenue to travel around the closed segment of Route 2.

The bridge is expected to be replaced and the road opened by November 9, 2009.
