Bowdoinham Bridges Set For Repairs, Traffic will be reduced to one lane
Starting on Tuesday, August 4, the Millay Road Bridges in Bowdoinham will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic so MaineDOT crews can replace the travel surface of the bridges.
The Millay Road Bridges span both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-295. MaineDOT has installed temporary traffic signals to regulate the one-way, alternating traffic through the construction area. MaineDOT crews will remove the deteriorating concrete surface on the two bridges, and replace it with a new layer of concrete.
If there are no prolonged weather delays, the project should be completed within eight weeks.
MaineDOT asks that all motorists drive cautiously through the construction zone.
