MAINEDOT TO PERFORM REPAIRS AT DONALD DAVEY BRIDGE NEXT WEEK

Next week, the week of May 19th through May 23rd, Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) Bridge Maintenance Division crews will be performing repairs to the concrete headers (bridge ends) on the Donald E. Davey Bridge, which carries Route 1 over the Sheepscot River. The Davey Bridge connects the towns of Wiscasset and Edgecomb.

Traffic control will be regulated by flaggers who will establish alternating one-way traffic while the work is in progress. Motorists crossing the bridge should expect traffic delays while the project is in progress.

MaineDOT bridge managers plan to complete the work next week, prior to the Memorial Day holiday.
