MaineDOT crews will take part in a joint culvert replacement/safety training exercise on Route 125 in Freeport on Thursday, August 6.
Crews will remove and replace a failing culvert that is underneath the Griffin Road in Freeport (Route 125). Construction is expected to begin at approximately 7:30 a.m. and conclude by 4:30 p.m.
There will be approximately 20 MaineDOT employees involved in the culvert replacement/safety training exercise. MaineDOT staff involved in this project will be receiving required safety training on excavation, trench box procedures and sloping.
The culvert replacement/training exercise will take place under the supervision of the MaineDOT safety office and MaineDOT Region 1 Maintenance and Operation personnel.
