I-295 Southbound Lanes Set To Open Tonight

I-295 Southbound, which served as the alternate route for northbound traffic during the I-295 Northbound rehabilitation project, will open tonight between the hours of 6:00 and 7:00. All lanes of I-295 between Topsham and Gardiner will be open with normal traffic patterns after 7:00 tonight.

Work will continue on I-295 Northbound for approximately a month as crews continue to install guardrails, pave ramps, and loam and seed the temporary crossovers. Motorists are advised that this work may necessitate partial ramp closures at night and sporadic lane closures during the day.
