Route 201 Bridge in Vassalboro will be reduced to one lane

Traffic at the Seven Mile Brook Bridge on Route 201 in Vassalboro will be reduced to one lane starting the week of May 25 in order for MaineDOT to install an expansion joint on the bridge.

One way, alternating traffic will be regulated by temporary signal lights during the two-week construction period. The expansion joint is necessary in order to prevent the effects of bridge runoff from damaging the support structure of the bridge.

Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through the construction zone.
