MAINE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine

 

Brewer

Beginning at the point of convergence of the Eddington-Brewer-Veazie town lines in the Penobscot River; thence, southeasterly via the Eddington-Brewer town line to the southerly right-of-way of State Route 9; thence, westerly via said right-of-way to Day Road; thence, southwesterly to the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Pierce Road; thence, southerly along the easterly right of way of Pierce Road to the intersection of Bennett Road; thence, southeasterly to the intersection of Wilson Street (U.S. Route 1A) and Dirigo Drive; thence, westerly north of Dirigo Drive to the intersection of Green Point Road and Dirigo Drive; thence , southwesterly to a point on Wiswell Road 0.16 mile east of Central Avenue;

 

Thence, southwesterly to Mill Street at the Brewer-Orrington town line, thence, northwesterly via said town line to the Penobscot River, convergence of Brewer-Orrington-Hampden town lines; thence, northeasterly via said River and Brewer-Hampden-Bangor-Veazie town lines to convergence of the Eddington-Brewer-Veazie town lines, point of beginning.

 

NOTE: Bridges, if any, bisected by the rural urban zone line are in the rural area.
