of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for
delimiting the urban area of
Falmouth,
Cumberland County, Maine
Falmouth
Beginning
at a point on Foreside Road (State Route 88) at the Falmouth-Cumberland
town line; thence, southeasterly via said town line into the waters
of Casco Bay; thence, southwesterly via Casco Bay to a point southeast
of Mackworth Island on the Falmouth-Portland town line; thence,
northwesterly along said town line to the Falmouth-Westbrook town
line; thence, northwesterly along the Falmouth-Westbrook town line
to Brook Road; thence, northerly to a point northwesterly of the
northerly extremity of Balsam Lane; thence, southeasterly to Blackstrap
Road at a point 0.32 mile northwest of Brook Road; thence, northeasterly
to the intersection of Mountain Road and Hillside Avenue; thence,
northeasterly to Auburn Road (State Route 26 & 100) at a bridge
# 2457 over the Piscataqua River; thence northerly along the westerly
right of way of Auburn Road to a point 0.41 miles north of the Piscataqua
River bridge # 2457,
Thence,
northeasterly to the Winn Road at the Falmouth-Cumberland town line;
thence, southeasterly along the Falmouth-Cumberland town line to
Long Woods Road (State Route 9); thence, southerly along the westerly
right of way of Long Woods Road to a point 0.70 mile north of the
intersection of Middle Road, reference utility pole #J27; thence,
southerly along the easterly right-of-way of Long Woods Road to
the Bridge over Interstate 495; thence, southeasterly along the northerly
right-of-way of the I-495 to U.S. Route 1; thence, northerly along
the westerly right-of-way of U.S. Route 1 to the intersection of
Johnson Road; thence, northerly along the easterly right of way
of U.S. Route 1 to the Falmouth-Cumberland town line; thence, southeasterly
via said town line to Foreside Road (State Route 88), the point
of beginning.
Also,
a section on Blackstrap Road (inventory road # 443) beginning at
the intersection of Mountain Road and extending northerly 0.84 miles.
Note:
Bridges, if any, bisected by the compact-urban line are in the rural
area.
