MAINE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

Old Orchard Beach, York County, Maine 

 

Old Orchard Beach

 

Beginning at the junction of Saco Avenue (State Route 5) and Union Avenue; thence, northerly to the junction of Cascade Road (State Route 98) and Ross Road; thence, northwesterly along the southwesterly right of way of Cascade Road to the Old Orchard Beach-Saco Town Line; thence, crossing Cascade Road; thence, southeasterly along the northeasterly right of way of Cascade Road to the junction of Ross Road; thence, southeasterly to a point 0.11 mile north of Walnut Street on Portland Avenue, point of reference utility pole #33; thence due east to the Boston and Maine Railroad; thence, northerly via said railroad to the Old Orchard Beach-Scarborough and York-Cumberland town and country line; thence, southeasterly via said town and county line into Saco Bay;

 

Thence, southwesterly via the waters of Saco Bay to the confluence of Goosefare Brook (Old Orchard Beach-Saco town line); thence, northwesterly via said brook and town line to a point due west of the junction of Smith Wheel Road and Pinecone Drive (private road) 0.39 mile north of Ocean Park Avenue; thence, easterly to said junction; thence, southeasterly to the junction of Saco Avenue and Union Avenue, the point of beginning.

 

Note: Bridges, if any, bisected by the State Maintenance Line are in the rural area.
