MAINE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

 

Description of State Maintenance Boundary Lines established for

delimiting the urban area of

 

South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine

 

South Portland

Beginning at Highland Avenue at the South Portland/Scarborough town line; thence, southeasterly via said line to its intersection with the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth town line; thence, northeasterly via the various directions of said town line to a point of convergence of the South Portland/Portland/Cape Elizabeth lines in Casco Bay; thence, northerly and westerly via the South Portland/Portland and Westbrook city lines to the Scarborough-South Portland town Line; thence, southeasterly via the South Portland/Scarborough town line; to Highland Avenue, at the South Portland/Scarborough town line, the point of beginning.

NOTE: Any bridges bisected by the State Maintenance line are in the rural area.
