Flash Facts

Safety should be a big deal for every driver on Maine roads. Maine crashes are reported 35,000 times a year and annually take the lives of nearly 200 people – and just about every one of these fatal crashes was PREVENTABLE. Each driver can contribute to improving safety by the way they drive. Sometimes drivers aren’t aware of the rules of the road, other times there are hazards that you just normally don’t think of and just a quick refresher can help.

The safety tips linked below cover a variety of situations, and often are accompanied by Maine crash statistics to show how big a problem some typical crash stories are – let’s work together to make Maine travel safe for everyone – you can start by having everyone buckle up.
