Bridge Management

Responsibilities:

• Optimize all investments in public bridges

• Develop the bridge improvement strategies and candidate lists in the MDOT 6 Year Plan and BTIP

• Perform the bridge analysis and predictions for the MDOT 20 Year Plan and State of System Report

• Respond to municipal inquiries on capital improvement opportunities

• Maintain the analysis and process to guide MDOT Maintenance & Operations in selecting optimum bridge repairs

• Perform inventory data analysis to support department-wide decision making

• Manage the document image system for bridge inspection reports and photos

• Co-Chair State of Maine's Public and Recreational Water Access Committee

• Perform bridge network analysis to assess past performance and predict future performance

• Create and maintain the MDOT Public Bridge web site which provides detailed information on each bridge
