Qualified Products List (QPL)

formerly known as Approved Products List

The products on this list are prequalified for use on Maine Department of Transportation Construction and Maintenance projects. Prequalifying products is not to be construed as an official endorsement by the Department. Nor is it to be a guarantee of product performance relative to specific contract requirements or warranty. Inclusion of a product on this list does not imply that the product meets any or all applicable State or Federal regulations related to safety or environmental issues in effect at the time. The manufacturer’s Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) should be referred to before and during use of any product appearing on this list.

This list is intended as an information tool for contractors, engineering consultants, and Department personnel to identify products meeting the Department's standards or specifications for particular applications. The use of any product listed on this site by a contractor shall in no way relieve contractors from their contractual obligations.

Field performance of these products will continue to be monitored. Users are entirely responsible for confirming content of this web site.

Manufacturers and suppliers wishing to submit a new product should:

1. Review the Product Evaluation Process which is an overview of the program.

2. Review MaineDOT's Product Evaluation Flow Chart.

3. Review the Product Acceptance Criteria (if available) for the category of product that you wish to submit:

4. Fill out Preliminary Information for Product Evaluation, save as a Word doc.

5. Attach along with certain additional information (as indicated on the form) to an email and submit it electronically to the email address on the form to begin the product evaluation process. Or, if you prefer, simply print out the "pdf" version of the form here, fill it out and then send the documents to us via regular mail to the address shown on the form.

NOTE: Please use the actual form and not an approximation or computerized rendition. One submittal per product, please.

Attention all MaineDOT field personnel, contractors, and consultants:

Please take a moment to fill out the Product Evaluation Report Form and give us your feedback on products that you have used from these lists on a project. If the product is new, the Research Division will begin an evaluation of how that product performs over time. If an existing product, it may either reinforce its place on the Approved Products List or precipitate its removal...

We need and appreciate your feedback to help make this program effective!
