ICS/MACC Interface Course (G191) Rescheduled/Relocated

The Maine Emergency Management Agency will be conducting the FEMA training program Incident Command System, Emergency Operations Center Interface Course with a MACC focus. This 1 day course will address the Incident Command System (ICS) and Multi Agency Coordination Center (MACC) relationship, capabilities and limits of both systems, key players, communications systems, resources, planning programs and logistical assistance. This course will focus on federal and state response/coordination to a marine oil spill in Penobscot Bay. Select members of these agencies will be eligible to attend on an invitee basis.

The course will help Participants Bridge the gap between on-scene Incident Command and the Multi-Agency Coordination Center MACC. Training will focus on the teamwork and mutual respect necessary to conduct concurrent operations.

When: March 13, 2013 8:15AM-4:30PM

Target Audience: All command level emergency responders and personnel responsible for state and federal response to a marine oil spill. All students will have completed up to NIMS ICS 200 (Basic) prior to taking the course. Copy of certificate must accompany application.

Course Location: The course will be held at the Waldo County Regional EOC located at 4 Public Safety Way in Belfast, Maine. Lunch and breaks will be provided. Lodging may be provided on a per case basis for non-Federal participants please call MEMA for details. All other expenses are the responsibility of the student. Class will run from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm.

Complete a FEMA Form 119-25-1(formerly 75-5), General Admissions Application with a student signature and signature of supervisor or sponsoring agency official. Submit the application to Mike Grant, MEMA via e-mail or FAX. The FEMA training application form (Adobe Acrobat fillable .pdf form) may be downloaded from MEMA's training website.

Please Note:

This is a rescheduling and relocation of the course that was previously scheduled for February 6, 2013 in Augusta. Those who had registered for that class do not need to register again. However, please confirm with MEMA whether you will be attending the March 13th Belfast class.
