Training Announcement: Emergency Planning (G235)

The Maine Emergency Management Agency will be conducting the Federal Emergency Management Agency training program titled Emergency Planning. This 1-day blended learning course is part of the Professional Development Series (PDS) of courses developed under the supervision of the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) with the assistance of State and local subject-matter experts. This course is designed to provide common experience of a properly structured Emergency Operations Plan in the following areas: The planning process; hazard analysis; the basic plan; annexes and appendices and implementing instructions. This program has been awarded 1.0 CEUs. Completion of the FEMA online Independent Study Course IS 235 Emergency Planning is a perquisite for attendance. Students will bring a copy of their Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) as this course will focus on group activities provided for classroom participation and certification. This program is part of the Maine Basic Emergency Manager Level II recognition program. ***Date February 21, 2013 0815AM-4:30PM Target Audience: Course will be designed for state, tribal, county and local emergency management directors and their deputies, State agency partners with emergency planning responsibilities and others with a demonstrated need to attend the program as it pertains to FEMA CPG 101 and NIMS. Course Location: TThe course will be held at the Penobscot County EOC located at 73 Hammond Street, Suite 3 in Bangor. Class will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch and breaks will be provided.
