Help your first responders by helping yourself
In a large, serious emergency, travel may be restricted, or businesses closed. If you have what you need, and know how to take care of yourself, you will be freeing up first responders to get where they are most needed, and helping your community weather the storm.

Develop a personal disaster plan ...
- Develop a personal disaster plan
- Give copies of your emergency information list, medical information list, disability-related supplies and special eqipment list and personal disaster plan to your 'support network.'
Make sure that you have the following items. If not, stop by the hardware store.
Also, extra medications or prescriptions marked 'emergency use.'
