Running off the road can run into trouble

October 17, 2009

According to the Maine DOT, running off the road accounted for about 25% (over 9,000) of all crashes in Maine in 2005, resulting in more than 50% (91) of all traffic deaths. Always drive at a safe speed. Slow down in bad weather or bad road conditions. Focus on driving—avoid distractions. Be well rested and don’t drink and drive! Slow down and pay attention in work zones and remember...always wear your seat belt!
