Widow-makers have the right name

November 2, 2009

One of the greatest dangers during windstorms is from falling trees or tree limbs. To reduce the danger from high winds, cut down any dead or diseased trees and prune any tree limbs that could potentially fall on someone or something before they fall. After the wind, look for any limbs that were broken that are just waiting to fall ("widow-makers")and get rid of them before they do.
