MLTI 2014 Summer Institute

Bowdoin College, Brunswick ME

July 22 - 24, 2014

Call for Session Proposals

Deadline for proposals is April 11, 2014.

We are looking for classroom practitioners from all curriculum areas and leaders in the field of
education technology to develop and present workshops for the institute. Our aim this year is to cover the full range of curricula, showcasing how technology is used in each discipline and develop ideas that will move the teaching of the subject forward.

Each workshop block is scheduled to last for three hours, to give ample time for participants to
practice skills, discuss new ideas and develop a strategy to integrate the learning into a workable plan. Presenters can submit a proposal for a three hour session, or for a full day (2 three hour sessions) of the institute. Alternatively, proposals will also be accepted for the full three days if the scope of the workshop warrants.

We are looking for engaging workshops that incorporate effectual use of technology, with hands on practice for participants built into the session. Some components of workshops could include presenting successful classroom projects, highlighting exemplary use of technology in formative and summative assessment, and showcasing the use of technology in helping students demonstrate mastery of standards. A concentration on the leverage of the MLTI solutions, either singularly or cross platform, would be preferential.
