Continuing Education Stipend
The SMLD Board sometimes offers stipends for continuing education event. Stipends are open to any staff member of a Southern Maine Library District library. Below are further details:
- The SMLD Board will select the winner based on the completeness and appropriateness of the entry.
- The selected applicant will be required to share the information gained with the District. This can be in the form of an article for the SMLD website and/or newsletter or a presentation at an SMLD meeting.
- Preference will be given to applicants who attend an event about library technology. However, all events on library administration, programs, and services will be considered.
- The winning applicant must attend the continuing education program and comply with the requirements by December 31, 2009.
