Maine Librarians Share What They Are Reading
Since 2007, The Collection Development and Evaluation Section (CODES) of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association, compiles The Reading List that “seeks to highlight outstanding genre fiction that merit special attention by general adult readers and the librarians who work with them.”
In recent years the term genre seems to have taken on a life of its own, often developing into sub-genres. The selection committee uses just eight genres to compile The Reading List. Our list will feature their category selections, plus two additional choices - Literary Fiction and Non-Fiction.
