Martha White, a full-time freelance writer and editor since 1987 will be discussing her Grandfather's work focusing on E. B. White on Dogs, the best and funniest of his essays, poems, letters, and sketches depicting over a dozen of White's various canine companions. She will be signing books for members of the Friends of Maine Libraries before her talk.?

Tess Gerritsen is a NYT bestselling author of suspense novels and medical thrillers. She is a Maine resident and strong supporter of Maine libraries. She will be signing books for members of the Friends of Maine Libraries before her talk.
September 9, 5:30-7:30 pm - John W. Neff, and Howard R. Whitcomb

John W. Neff, and Howard R. Whitcomb will be speaking on their book Baxter State Park and Katahdin. Neff, a Katahdin historian, has served as president of both the Maine Appalachian Trail Club and the Friends of Baxter State Park. Whitcomb, a retired professor, is a published authority on Governor Baxter and the park's creation. They will be signing books for members of the Friends of Maine Libraries before the talk.

Retired Maine Game Warden John Ford writes of his adventures in?Suddenly, the Cider Didn't Taste So Good, a collection of true tales, both humorous and serious, from the trenches of law enforcement, and also includes heartwarming accounts of his rescue of hurt or abandoned animals. He will be signing books for members of the Friends of Maine Libraries before his talk.
