Access to the Internet 2001

An Educational Forum on Ensuring that Web sites and Information Technology are Accessible to People with Disabilities

Massachusetts’ Attorney General, Tom Reilly, is sponsoring "Access to the Internet - 2001," a forum demonstrating how information technology, especially Web sites, can be made accessible for people with disabilities. The forum will be held on June 7, 2001, at Suffolk Law School and will include national experts on Web accessibility who will discuss cutting edge information on accessible Web site design, legal requirements for accessible technology; and multimedia access. Representatives from software design companies, Internet sales divisions, Web site developers, disability rights advocacy organizations, and state and local governments are encouraged to attend this important forum on access to the Internet. The Office of the Attorney General has posted the agenda with a description of the workshops and presenters, and registration materials for your convenience – see http://www.ago.state.ma.us./.
