Electronic Telephone Directory – New Search Available

By Carmen Fournier

A Team Effort Does Work! Since the July 2001 newsletter article "Hunting For State Telephone Directory Information" (http://www.maine.gov/newsletter/July01/hunting_for_state_telephone_dire.htm), the Bureau of Information Services (BIS) has been working with the State’s Telecommunication Coordinators to update the information for the various state departments/divisions and programs and/or services within the divisions. We used E-mail to send the information, as it appears in the electronic directory, to the Telecommunication Coordinators; and they returned updated information to BIS. The Team continues to work on improving the process which expands available information via the Internet.

What’s New! If you go to the Maine State Government Electronic Directory Listings URL http://www.maine.gov/bis/phone/phone.htm and click on Item #3, (Organization Directory) you can search for state employees by department and now by division. At this URL, http://thor.ddp.state.me.us/etd/plsql/etddev.white_pages.search_form,

  1. Screen click Personnel Listing,
  2. Select the Department,
  3. On Division Search click Yes, and click Submit, and
  4. At the next screen select the division, and click Submit.

This will allow you to see only the employees for that particular division.
