Challenge for October

There are some sheep and some geese in a field, and among them there are 50 legs. If the sheep had two legs and the geese had four legs there would be 58. How many sheep and how many geese are there?

For an extra challenge, but no pizza, try this one. There are some sheep and some geese in a field, and among them there are 46 legs. If you call a sheep’s tail a leg and the geese’s wings legs, there are 77. How many sheep and how many geese are there?

The answer to the September Challenge is: 1) In 240 hours they would differ by 1 hour. 2) The times would be 11:24 and 12:24.
