SUPERINTENDENT’S NOTICE

TO INTERESTED PARTIES

Union Trust Company, Ellsworth, Maine, notified the Superintendent of the Bureau of Financial Institutions, pursuant to 9-B M.R.S.A. §336, of its intent to close its branch offices located on Church Street, Cherryfield and Dublin Street, Machias, Maine.

You may request that the Bureau of Financial Institutions require Union Trust Company to submit a comprehensive application in support of their proposal through Monday, September 27, 2004, pursuant to the provisions of 9-B M.R.S.A. §336.  Written comments should be submitted to the Bureau of Financial Institutions, 36 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0036 and electronic comments may be filed through the Bureau of Financial Institutions’ Web site at www.maine.gov/financialinstitutions .
