MEGA Consumer Information

Consumers do not have to contact MEGA Life. The company will be in touch with you. MEGA Life has 30 days to notify the Bureau of Insurance of the method they will use to allocate the refund to specific policyholders. The company will provide the Superintendent with a detailed report that identifies each individual health insurance policyholder from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2007 (the period that the Consent Agreement covers). MEGA will also state the amount owed (refund plus interest) to each person and the method it will use to distribute the refund.

The money refunded is the result of an overcharge of premium. Rates for 2008 will be readjusted.
