NOTICE OF RULEMAKING

Notice is hereby given that the Superintendent of Insurance will hold a public hearing on November 23, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Kennebec Room of the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation building, 76 Northern Avenue, Gardiner, Maine to receive comments concerning amendments to Rule Chapter 945, Annual Report Supplement for Health Insurers.

These amendments are proposed to reflect the recent statutory change from the Dirigo savings offset payment to the Dirigo access payment and to clarify other miscellaneous provisions of the Rule in light of questions raised by the public since it was last amended.

These amendments are proposed in accordance with 24-A M.R.S.A. §§212 and 423-D.

All interested persons are invited to testify at the hearing or to submit written comments. Written comments must be received no later than December 3, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. and should be addressed to Pat Galouch, Maine Bureau of Insurance, 34 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333.
