Fourth Class Stationary Steam EngineerA Fourth Class Stationary Steam Engineer may have charge of a plant of not more than 50,000 #/HR or operate or supervise a plant up to the capacity of the license of the engineer in charge of the plant in which the licensee is employed. MILITARY EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGThe Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation wants to make sure that individuals who have military experience and training and who wish to obtain a stationary steam engineer or boiler operator license receive appropriate credit for their military training and experience. If you have boiler operator military experience and training and want to become licensed in Maine as a stationary steam engineer or boiler operator, please contact Bob LeClair (207-624-8678 or robert.v.leclair@maine.gov) or Catherine Carroll (207-624-8605 or catherine.m.carroll@maine.gov) before submitting an application.
