Minutes of April 28, 2003 Public Board Meeting

Members Present:

  1. CALL TO ORDER
    The Board was called to order by Ted Chaffee, Chair at 8:45 a.m.

  2. ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTARY
    Penny Vaillancourt brought an issue of an applicant acting inappropriately with staff.  There are issues regarding the applicant’s suitability for licensure.  The Board discussed the issues and determined it was not able to prevent licensing due to the Board’s scope of practice as a regulatory body.

  3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
    Polly Burgess moved to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2003 meeting.  Karen St. Clair seconded the motion.  The motion passed with all in favor except one abstention (David Bellville).

    Polly Burgess moved to approve the minutes of the March 24, 2003 meeting.  Karen St. Clair seconded the motion.  The motion passed with all in favor except one abstention (David Bellville).

  4. MICHELLE COBB CASE

    Karen St. Clair moved and Polly Burgess seconded to go into executive session at 9:15 a.m.  Passed unanimously.  The Board came out of executive session at 10:00 a.m.  Reid Stevens moved and Karen St. Clair seconded that pursuant to Ms. Cobb’s request the Board will not take action on the LCPC application and will notify the applicant that the application will be acted on at the May 19, 2003 meeting.  Passed unanimously.  A letter to the applicant will also include the status of accumulated hours for standard LCPC thus accrued.

  5. LICENSE APPLICATIONS AND RENEWALS

    Karen St. Clair moved and David Bellville seconded, to approve the new licenses as listed.  Passed unanimously.

    Polly Burgess moved and Karen St. Clair seconded, to deny the licenses as listed.  Passed unanimously.

    Karen St. Clair moved and Polly Burgess seconded, to approve the renewals as listed.  Passed unanimously..  

  6. SUPERVISOR APPROVALS

    Polly Burgess moved and Karen St. Clair seconded, to approve Susan Trundy as Yvonne Maiden’s supervisor.  Passed unanimously.
                                                   
    Polly Burgess moved and Karen St. Clair seconded, to approve Terry Melanson as Yvonne Maiden’s supervisor.  Passed unanimously.

  7. ADJOURN

     -The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
