Minutes of August 12, 2005 Public Board Meeting

Cecilia Ohmart, Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES
In a motion by Robert Bender, seconded by Marianne Stevens, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes from the June 3, 2005 meeting as written.

APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS
In a motion by Robert Bender, seconded by Marianne Stevens, the board voted unanimously to approve the following licenses issued since the June 3, 2005 meeting:
Susan M. Adams, Dietetic Technician
Todd R. Brodeur, Temporary Dietetic Technician
Amanda E. Hopkins, Dietitian
Christina M. Hussey, Dietitian
Jessica L. O’Donnell, Dietitian
Jessica L. Paine, Temporary Dietitian
Jennifer S. Williams, Temporary Dietitian
Ginger L. MacFarlane, Dietitian
- APPROVAL OF NEW APPLICATIONS
Krista L. Niezelski - In a motion by Robert Bender, seconded by Marianne Stevens, the board voted unanimously to approve Ms. Niezelski’s application for licensure as a Temporary Dietitian.
Jennifer E. Wilson - In a motion by Marianne Stevens, seconded by Robert Bender, the board voted unanimously to approve Ms. Wilson’s application for licensure as a Temporary Dietitian.

CORRESPONDENCE
Discussed was correspondence from Leah Girard, a Temporary Dietetic Technician, requesting an extension of her temporary license. Ms. Girard also states that her clinical experience was not accepted by the Commission on Dietetic Registration; therefore, she is not eligible to take the registration examination to qualify for her dietetic technician license. Ms. Girard is looking for guidance from the board in this matter.
In a motion by Marianne Stevens, seconded by Robert Bender, the board voted unanimously to table this matter until it has received additional information.
- DISCUSSION REGARDING RULEMAKING
The board was informed that it has received permission from Director Anne Head to go to rulemaking to revise its CEU chapter. Ms. Vaillancourt will meet with Jeff Frankel, the OLR Staff Attorney, to draft a proposal for the Board’s review.

STAFF APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS
In a motion by Robert Bender, seconded by Marianne Stevens, the board voted unanimously to allow board staff and board assistant attorney general, in conjunction with the chair, permission to approve applications for licensure for individuals who have disclosed prior criminal convictions.

ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT – PENNY VAILLANCOURT
Ms. Vaillancourt provided the board with a financial update for fiscal year 2006 and fiscal year 2005.
She also informed the board that the Online Renewal program is now available to licensees.

There being no further business, in a motion by Marianne Stevens, seconded by Robert Bender, the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
