Board of Licensure of Foresters - Continuing Education

Foresters and Intern Foresters are required to complete 12 contact hours of continuing education for license renewal in December 2012. Chapter 80, Section 1 of the Board's rules requires that a minimum of 8 of the 12 contact hours must be earned in Category 1 . Category 1 includes organized course work, technical sessions, seminars, courses or workshops, or activity in forestry or forestry-related subject matter.

Foresters who have attained the age of 62 and practice less than 250 hours per year are not required to complete continuing education for license renewal.

IMPORTANT NOTE: SAF approved courses are recognized by the Board for the same number of hours as approved by SAF.
