Maine.gov uses the powerful Google search engine to provide you with efficient searching of state government websites. The statewide search tool appears at the top of every page in Maine.gov. Many state agency sites also offer a site search that is limited to that agency's content. Agency site searches also use Google and work the same way as the statewide search, just limited to one site.
The Maine.gov search engine will search all sites and pages hosted on www.maine.gov as well as a few other special domains used by state agencies. This covers the majority of Maine state government sites. University of Maine sites are not included. Legislative bills and statutes are not included (use the legislative search engines).
